Cherie Silvestri

Cherie Silvestri, a highly experienced Engineering Manager joined the Toro Engineering team in 2023. With over 30 years experience in the resources and construction sectors and holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, Cherie is a Chartered Professional Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia, part of the WA Engineers Australia Structures panel and WA Representative for Concrete Institute of Australia Women in Concrete. A passionate Structural Engineer, she has played a significant role in a wide range of greenfields and brownfields developments throughout Western Australia.  This has included the full project life cycle from concept, detailed design, transport, modularisation, construction and maintenance resulting in a strong commitment to constructability, maintainability and safety in design.

At Toro Engineering, Cherie is responsible for overseeing technical outcomes across mining, renewables, industrial, and non-process infrastructure projects. Her key responsibilities include; business development, relationship management, peer reviews, and guiding the wider engineering team.

Cherie's strategic mindset, technical expertise, and dedication to quality engineering solutions, makes her an asset to Toro Engineering. Her leadership and communication skills drive the success of innovative projects, while her focus on asset management and cost effective solutions adds substantial value to the Toro Engineering team and our clients.
