Role Description
This is a contract position based in the Perth CBD, WA. The Senior Structural Designer will be responsible for leading / assisting the drafting team across Mining, Renewables and Non-Process Infrastructure Projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing high quality models and 2D design drawings in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements
- Coordinating and supervising design team efforts
- Reviewing deliverables
- Maintaining an overview of activity and communicating with the lead structural engineer to ensure that issues are addressed in a timely manner and projects are delivered on schedule
Qualifications
- Diploma of Civil and Structural Engineering (or equivalent) at a minimum
- Additional design/CAD certifications will be highly considered
- Full working rights in Australia, Sponsorship will not be offered
Experience
- Minimum 8 years in Structural design across Mining / Resources Projects
- Minimum 6 years Australian projects design experience
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Highly proficient in the use of 2D and 3D design software packages in both the Autodesk and Bentley Suite
- Experienced in the use of point cloud scans for design modelling and drafting
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and to provide effective mentoring and input to design team
